HYDERABAD: Even before former chief minister K Rosaiah has resigned to the membership of the Legislative Council and move to Tamil Nadu to take up his gubernatorial assignment, lobbying has already begun for the seat being vacated by him.In 2009, the then chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy allotted an MLC seat to Rosaiah to utilise his services for the government and party.As he was being sent to the council, Rosaiah did not contest the Assembly elections then.Now he is vacating the seat as he has been appointed TN governor.Former PCC president D Srinivas and former Assembly speaker K R Suresh Reddy and former minister MD Shabbir Ali have already began lobbying for the seat.This apart, the leaders from the PRP (now defunct) have also set their eyes on the seat.According to sources, Chiranjeevi has already discussed the issue with Rosaiah.One of the leader from Chiranjeevi camp said that the Congress has promised two MLCs seats to Chirnajeevi's men but so far it had give only one.
