New Delhi: As the CBSE results are expected tentatively by month-end, the admission rush is building up for Delhi university colleges. Admission forms for undergraduate courses of Delhi University will be available between June 1 and 15, the university announced Sunday.
Students can deposit the forms during the same period and get themselves registered to be considered for admission.
"The forms will be available for sale from June one to 15 at 16 different centres across the capital, including one in the main campus. The admission will be conducted in the same fashion and for the same number of seats like last year since the OBC quota issue is sub-judice," varsity Registrar A K Dube told PTI.
There are about 43,000 seats in about 80 colleges under the university, Dube said.
The HRD Ministry had recently asked the varsity to go ahead with the admission process as per last year's norms. However, the process of enhancement of infrastructure to accommodate the proposed OBC quota will continue.
"Now, we have asked the colleges to make an assessment of their requirements for implementing the OBC quota. Some colleges have submitted their proposals and a few others will submit their proposals soon," Dube was quoted as saying.
"After we get all the proposals, we will submit them to the ministry and the University Grants Commission," he added.
