Four-colour ballots ready

CHENNAI: Four different colours of ballot papers will be used during elections to rural local bodies, which are not using electronic voting machines. The ballot papers have been printed and are being dispatched to the respective district headquarters, the Election Commission said on Tuesday. For the post of village panchayat president, pink colour ballot papers will be used while for village panchayat member, its white or blue. Green ballots will be used for panchayat union ward member while yellow is the colour for district panchayat ward member.
