The decision was announced after functionaries of mechanised and country boat owners’ associations and workers’ bodies met here on Sunday.
“We also decided to stage a march towards the Secretariat in Chennai to get the attention of the State and Central governments on the KKNPP issue and the date for this march would be announced later,” protest committee coordinator Subash said.
The mechanised and country boat fishermen here had boycotted fishing since September 8.
