Fatwa Issued Against Viral Song Manikya Malaraya Poovi Featuring Priya Prakash Varrier
On Wednesday, a case was registered against the director of the film in Falaknuma Police station in Hyderabad against the song.

In what could be more trouble for the film-makers of Oru Adaar Love, a Fatwa has been issued by the Jamia Nizamia Seminary in Hyderabad, against the lyrics of the viral song Manikya Malaraya Poovi featuring Priya Prakash Varrier for allegedly hurting Muslim sentiments.

The fatwa says, "The song should be banned and the government should also not allow the film to be released, until the song is removed from the film."

On Wednesday, a case was registered against the director of the film in Falaknuma Police station in Hyderabad against the song.

The complainant Zaheer Khan told CNN-News18, "The song's lyrics are against Muslim sentiments and are offensive to the followers of Prophet Mohammad. The picturization of the song is a girl and boy romancing which is hurting religious sentiments. We demand song should be banned."

Released during the Valentine week, the song had instantly became viral on internet.
