CHENNAI: It was all about inclusion this week at the Vidya Sagar where a science fair was hosted to create awareness about disabilities and inclusion. The Inclusion department of Vidya Sagar came up with the idea of conducting a science fair to bring out the scientific temper of children. Around 14 mainstream schools which have special children on their rolls participated in the science fair which was inaugurated by Dr. Shanti Battacharya, Faculty, Electrical Engineering Department, IIT, Madras. Each team had a special child as well as normal children. The science fair reflected the team effort by the students.Children from Vidya Sagar who wanted to participate teamed up with children from mainstream schools. The children put up models of human systems like teh digestive system, models of air pollution, global warming, and also physics principles portrayed in simple doable models.
