Vytilla Mobility Hub managing director M Beena has announced that the electronic punching system at the hub will be inaugurated by Excise Minister K Babu on August 11.
The punching system, which functions using a radio frequency identification device will help the authorities keep track of the punctuality of the buses at the hub.
All KSRTC and private buses that are supposed to enter the hub according to the current rules should adhere to this.
The system is also expected to benefit the passengers, since the card, when punched by the bus conductor, will provide the details of the arrival of the bus.
The punching system will be placed at the five bays of the hub.
The punching systems are being installed with the cooperation of the Traffic Police and bus owners.
