Mithun Chakraborty assays the role of the Mumbai-based don.

Mumbai: It’s time now to meet the latest don in town as yet another comic tale featuring a don is all set to hit theatres soon.

Don Muthuswami is South Indian, lives in Mumbai and leads an unusual social life, and is being played by Mithunda.

“The film actually starts where the dongiri ends,” said Mithun Chakraborty.

The film’s director has no illusions about the project but clearly has faith in it.

“It is not a great film, but it is a small budget entertainer,” said director Ashim Samanta.

Even though the film doesn't make any great promises about being unusual, one thing you can expect for sure is a lot of confusion and a South Indian Mumbai Don from the 70s in between all that and more.

“There are two wives, two daughters; he is having an affair with the maid and all that he says is ‘I made a small mistake’. It’s not a small mistake, it’s a huge one!” Mithun explained.

The cast and crew were enthusiastic after the first glimpse of the film, as well.

While actor Mohit Raina called it a complete entertainer, Hrishita Bhatt said she laughed so much her cheeks hurt.

“I really enjoyed it,” Mithun said.

Hopefully, the audience would mirror these reactions.
