DHARMAPURI: Rail traffic on the Dharmapuri-Bengaluru broad gauge line was affected for some time on Friday due a sudden dip in the track from normal level near Marandahalli, 48 km from here. Sources said the Ernakulam- Bengaluru Intercity Express crossed the spot at 4.50 PM. When the Bengaluru- Salem Passenger crossed Rayakottai, the driver found the track below normal level for about four km up to Marandahalli. He stopped the train and immediately alerted officials.Technical staff from Dharmapuri Station rushed to the spot and restored the track to its original level, after which the train crossed Marandahalli and reached Dharmapuri at 9.20 pm, delayed by 2 hours
