Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is scheduled to visit Jammu and Rajouri on Wednesday. This will be Singh’s first visit to the state following the death of four army personnel during an encounter between security forces and terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri last week.
Sharing the news of his visit on X, he said, “Tomorrow, 27th December, I shall be in Jammu and Rajouri.”

At least four Army personnel lost their lives while three others were injured in a terrorist attack on two military vehicles in the Rajouri sector of Jammu and Kashmir last week.
Terrorists opened fire at vehicles when troops were moving to the operational site at the general area DKG (Dera ki Gali), Thanamandi. The attack took place at 3:45 PM in the Thanamandi area.
