PURI: From Wednesday, access of devotees with paid tickets will be restricted to the gate of the sanctum sanctorum of the Jagannath temple. The administration on Tuesday issued a notification to this effect following the temple body meeting. The meeting chaired by Gajapati Dibya Singh Deb took the decision with an aim to streamline daily nitees.Earlier, a large number of devotees, who bought tickets (paramanik darshan), were allowed into the sanctum sanctorum up to the ‘ratnasimhasana’ which resulted in inordinate delay in observance of the rituals. The temple administration too had several times attributed the delay in rituals to presence of devotees in the ‘garbhagruha’.The devotees would now be allowed entry into the ‘garbhagruha’ during the ‘Sahanamela’.
