The deceased, Saraswathi, was a resident of Hanumanthanagar. The police said the victim had come from Hanumanthanagar to Majestic in BMTC bus (route no 43) and was going to Malleswaram for a meditation camp. According to the police, due to snarling traffic, the bus had stopped at the entrance of the station. After waiting for a while, Saraswathi alighted the bus from the middle door of the bus. As she got down, the bus started to move and hit her, due to which she fell down. The left rear wheel of the bus ran over her legs. She succumbed in Victoria Hospital. Upparpet traffic police registered a case and arrested the bus driver. Further investigations are on. After Saraswathi’s death, her family members donated her eyes.Speaking to Express, Saraswathi’s daughter Bhagyalakshmi said her mother wanted to donate her eyes after her death. “Every Sunday she went for a meditation camp in Malleswaram.
