Mumbai: It's not yet confirmed but sources reveal Amitabh Bachchan is likely to be discharged from Lilavati hospital on Tuesday.
The superstar was admitted to the hospital on November 28 for diverticulitis, a condition of the intestines.
According to the hospital spokesperson, he was recovering well.
Early on Tuesday morning, Jaya Bachchan was spotted at the Siddhivinayak Temple, with actor-son Abhishek.
Jaya and Abhishek were accompanied by family friend and filmmaker Goldie Behl. They attended the early morning 'aarti' at the temple.
Though doctors are likely to discharge Bachchan, the family feels he should stay on at Lilavati hospital for a couple of days more to ensure that he gets adequate rest.
A spokesperson said Bachchan was recovering well and the doctors were happy with his progress.
However, Bollywood actor John Abraham, who was treated for viral fever and typhoid at the same hospital, was discharged this morning.
