Bangalore: CBSE results are out and it's time to make the big decisions. For many the choice will be between a career in engineering, medicine or information technology.
But there are some who don’t want to tread the beaten path. CNN-IBN profiles one such top-scorer in Bangalore.
Exams are over but M Hemesh is still studying. With 82 per cent in class XII, he is busy brushing up his mathematics. He doesn’t want to be an engineer; this top-scorer wants to join the Army.
Hemesh says, “It's one of the most convenient ways to serve my country and the best way. Having stayed in DRDO, I have been interacting with people in the defence services from childhood and am fascinated by it.”
At a time when most of his classmates are looking forward to lucrative careers, Hemesh's choice makes him stand out.
Hemesh adds, “My grandfather was a soldier but died in the 65 war.”
For the Kendriya Vidyalaya branch, Himesh is definitely a hero in the making.
