London: While at the age of 89 one usually sees his grandchildren graduating, William Cooper, who will be 90 in a few days, is himself set to graduate from University.
Cooper will graduate with an honours degree in sociology from the University of Wolverhampton, Britain.
"It's very difficult when you become a widower. You can snooze in a chair all afternoon but you have to push yourself to get going," Ananova quoted the widower, who went to university on his daughter-in-law's advice, as telling BBC online.
When asked what he would do with his degree, the old man said, "Nothing really. It's just a thing to pass retirement," he said
"But I proved to myself that I was as good as the rest and I got a certain amount of satisfaction that I had not wasted my time," he added.
