Saturday evening at HDIL Couture Week saw former model-turned-actor Anushka Sharma walking the ramp for designer Rina Dhaka. Unlike most of the other shows where high drama has dominated (with actors breaking into a jig and actors' families cheering from the front row), Anushka was a picture of calm and poise. The former Bangalore-based model knew exactly when to give that sexy pout to the waiting shutterbugs.
Anushka, who wore a saree designed with a modern silouhette, admitted post-show that she had never walked the ramp in a saree before. She said, "I hope to wear more sarees from now on." Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel was also spotted congratulating the designer for her collection.
While Salman Khan's 'Being Human' show was scheduled right after Dhaka's, members of his family started arriving hours in advance. Helen and sister Arpita were spotted arriving at the venue amidst tight security and brother Sohail appeared cool and casual in a pink T-shirt, looking into the last minute preparations.
Staying true to Salman's theme this season of portraying fashion through the decades, several Bollywood actors including Preity Zinta, Sushmita Sen, Katrina Kaif, Kareena Kapoor and Bipasha Basu walked the ramp sporting his designs.
