AI flight makes emergency landing

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: An Air-India flight that made an emergency landing at Thiruvananthapuram International Airport led the authorities to press the panic button on Tuesday in the city. It was the flight AI 507, that arrived at the airport at 12.10 pm, that was involved in the incident. According to the airport authorities, the flight had to make an emergency landing after its the hydraulic landing gear developed a technical problem, that led to its failure in opening at the time of landing. The flight was carrying 123 passengers.The incident had the Fire and Rescue Services on its toes as rescue units from Thiruvananthapuram and Chackai units rushed to the airport immediately after being alerted by the airport authorities.
