Mumbai: It has been a week since the blast and while Mumbaikars have moved on, a few families have been scarred forever who lost their loved ones in the blasts.
One such family is the Samants, who has still not recovered from the mayhem.
Three-year-old Sumit Samant is happy playing with his cousins. He's doesn't know his father, Sanjay, died in the blast in Bandra a week ago.
However, it is different for his brother, Sanjit, who is old enough to understand that his father will never come home.
"The younger one has no clue. He just keeps asking when is dad coming but the elder one who is nine years old knows that his father will never return and he says that he doesn't want to live in this house anymore as the memories of his father will keep hounding him," Sanjay's sister, Shambhavi Bagde, said.
But, it's been the most difficult week of Sweta's life. Apart from coping with the emotional loss of her husband, she has to put up a brave face for her children. And she has to provide for their future too.
Sweta has not yet recovered from the shock. She says that Sanjay was not only a loving husband but also a very loving father and that his loss will be felt forever.
Family members remember Sanjay as a caring man who everyone looked up to for advice.
"He was a very caring man. He did everything for us and so naturally we will miss him a lot," a weepy Shambhavi said
Today, the Samants are struggling to live a normal life, for the sake of the children. It’s difficult, for Sanjay will always be in their thoughts - as a husband, father and a brother.
