In 2015, Mondal had arrested four people from Burdwan Taxi stand for carrying heroin.

New Delhi: A non-bailable warrant was issued against Kartick Chandra Mondal, Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) of Tehatta in West Bengal’s Nadia district, for not appearing before a Special Court in connection with the 2015 drug case. Mondal didn't turn up despite repeated reminders.

The SDPO Burdwan South, refused to comment anything in this matter.

In 2015, Mondal had arrested four people from Burdwan Taxi stand for carrying heroin.

Since then, the trial is going on against the peddlers and Mondal was asked to appear before the court as a witness.

However, despite repeated reminders, he failed to turn before the court.

On January 10, the Burdwan court while coming down heavily on Mondal issued a non-bailable arrest warrant against him for not complying court’s order.
