Using the Mobile App
Open ooVoo. This app icon looks like two white chains in the shape of a "v" on a light orange background that you can find on one of your Home screens, in the app drawer, or by searching. Log in if prompted.
Tap ☰. You'll see the three-line menu icon in the top left corner of your screen.

Tap Android 7 Edit. You'll see this pencil icon in the top right corner of the menu.
Enter "closed" in the "Display Name" field. Tap in the text field to enable your keyboard.
Tap Change Profile Picture. You'll see this under the "Display Name" field. Set your profile picture to something generic. For example, you could use the generic avatar silhouette or the sky.

Tap Android 7 Done. This will save your changes and continue.
Tap ☰ again. If the menu didn't close when you tapped the check mark, you can skip this step.
Tap Settings. You'll find this next to a gear icon near the bottom of the menu.
Tap Privacy & Security. This is usually the third option in the menu.
Tap to select "No one" under "When people search in ooVoo, who can find me?" The circle next to "No one" will fill with an orange check mark to indicate that it is selected.
Uninstall the app. You can look at How to Delete Apps for a walkthrough that'll help you do this if you don't know how. For Android users, tap and hold an icon and tap Uninstall when it slides up. For iOS users, tap and hold an icon until they begin wiggling, then tap the X icon in the top left corner of the app thumbnail. You've set the profile back to a default profile with generic information, so you aren't tied to the account anymore.
Using the Desktop Application
Launch ooVoo. You'll find this in your Start Menu or Applications folder. Log in if prompted.
Click the ooVoo tab. You'll find this in the horizontal menu near the top of the application window.
Hover your cursor over My profile. A menu should expand to the right.
Click Edit my profile. A new window will pop up.
Type "Closed" in the "Display Name" field. Click inside the text field to activate your keyboard.
Click Change Profile Picture. You'll see this under the "Display Name" field. Set your profile picture to something generic. For example, you could use the generic avatar silhouette or the sky.
Click Save. You'll see this in the bottom right corner of the window.
Click the ooVoo tab again. You'll find this in the horizontal menu near the top of the application window.
Click Settings. You'll see this near the bottom of the menu next to a grey gear icon.
Click Privacy. This is usually the second yellow grouping of menu options.
Click to select "Nobody may find or view my ooVoo profile" under the "Connecting on ooVo" header. This is the first setting on the page.
Click to change the settings to "No one" for the other questions. Click to change the settings for "Sharing on ooVoo" to "No one" for each of the two prompts.
Click Save. This is in the bottom right corner of the window.
Click the ooVoo tab again. You'll find this in the horizontal menu near the top of the application window.
Click Settings. You'll see this near the bottom of the menu next to a grey gear icon.
Click Notifications. This is usually the fourth yellow grouping of menu options.

Click every box to uncheck them Android 7 Unchecked. You'll want to disable all notifications so you don't receive emails from ooVoo. A checked box means that notification is still active.
Click Save. You'll see this in the bottom right corner of the window.
Uninstall ooVoo from your computer. You can look at |How to Uninstall a Program for a walkthrough that'll help you do this if you don't know how. For Mac users, you can drag and drop the application icon into the trash can. For Windows users, you have to uninstall the program using Control Center.
