Venezuela are set to take on Argentina in the CONMEBOL FIFA World Cup qualifiers on Friday.
Venezuela haven’t had the best showing in the qualifiers, winning two out of the eight matches they have played. They currently sit seventh in the overall list with 10 points. They lost their previous match 0-4 to Bolivia last month in September. Ramiro Vaca, Carmelo Algaranaz, Miguel Terceros and Enzo Monteiro were on the scoresheet for Bolivia.
Venezuela will now be looking for a third victory in the qualifiers as they face Argentina next. However, beating the reigning Copa America and World Cup winners will like be a massive challenge.
The World Cup qualifier between Venezuela and Argentina will be played at the Estadio Monumental de Maturin on October 11.
Argentina were recently beaten 1-2 by Colombia in the qualifiers. With Lionel Messi set to make a return with La Albiceleste, the three-time world champions will be looking to get back to winning ways against Venezuela next.
