It was a 60:40 game in favour of Hong Kong: Chhetri
Hong Kong took the lead in the 70th minute which was cut by India 10 minutes later.

New Delhi: Sunil Chhetri was disappointed that his side went down only in the fag end of the game following India’s 2-1 loss to Hong Kong earlier this week and was forthright with his views.

Hong Kong had taken the lead in the 70th minute which was cut down by Indian skipper Bhaichung Bhutia 10 minutes later. An injury time winner by Wai Chiu left the Indians dumbfounded.

Speaking to Goal.com, the AFC Challenge Cup hero said, "In the end, we lost and it was really very sad. We conceded the goal in the 94th minute and that says it all."

Contrary to most reports in India which stated that Bob Houghton’s men had the upper hand for most parts of the game, Sunil gave his take on the same.

"I wouldn’t say the game was 50:50, rather it was 60:40 in favour of Hong Kong."

Sunil returned to Kolkata Friday evening and if East Bengal coach Subhash Bhowmick’s pre-match words are to be believed then, the national team players would be rested when his side take on Bayern Munich’s U-23 side.
