Country's football association is in talks with national team coach Jose Antonio Camacho to end his contract after the 5-1 loss to Thailand in a friendly last week.
Beijing: Chinese state media say the country's football association is in talks with national team coach Jose Antonio Camacho to end his contract after the 5-1 loss to Thailand in a friendly last week.
The state-run China Central Television said on Saturday that the China Football Association met with Camacho late on Friday and that the Spaniard had agreed to part ways. The two sides are yet to settle on the severance package, which could include penalty pay of about 3 million euros.
Camacho's contract is due to run through to August 2014. He was appointed in 2011 with expectations to lead the team to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
