Mannone spent 8 years with the Gunners before moving to Sunderland for an undisclosed fee.
Arsenal Football Club confirmed on Wednesday that their 25-year-old goalkeeper Vito Mannone has joined Sunderland; however, the club did not disclose the transfer fee.
Mannone spent 8 years at the Emirates after joining the club from Atalanta in 2005 but made just 23 appearances for the club.
Mannone got the first taste of the Premier League on loan with Barnsley in the 2006/07 season, following which he became a regular around the Gunners' first-team squad in the next couple of seasons. He made his Arsenal debut against Stoke City in May 2009.
