The Spanish champions say the speed of Iniesta's recovery "will determine his availability for upcoming games".
Iniesta was tackled in the 22nd minute of the match at Vicente Calderon Stadium. He was replaced at half-time by Lionel Messi.
Barcelona visit Getafe on Thursday in the Copa del Rey after winning the first leg of their round-of-16 tie 4-0. It then visits Levante on Sunday in the Spanish league.
