Ananya Panday Makes International Runway Debut With Rahul Mishra’s Paris Haute Couture Week Show
Actor Ananya Panday turned muse for couturier Rahul Mishra, showcasing one of his creations from the collection Superheroes.

The Kho Gaye Hum Kahan star sashayed the runway as part of the model lineup and Ananya celebrated Rahul’s couture collection Superheroes as she sashayed the runway as part of the model lineup, looking haute and happening in a short black strapless dress.

The highlight of her ensemble was the handcrafted couture circular sculpture featuring intricately colourful motifs of the Tiger Moth, also known as Arctia Caja. The circular sculpture also featured a motif of a black, gold and white sequin dress embroidered on the mesh, which gave the illusion of Ananya dressed in it.

Surrounded by colourful species of moths, each distinct pattern on its wings was brought to life by intricate embroidery and embellishment, adding a vibrant hue to the monochromatic silhouette. Sheer couture magic, the ensemble mirrored Rahul Mishra’s love for nature and its beings.

With her hair tied back in a sleek bun and kohl-laden eyes, Ananya looked confident and stunning in Rahul Mishra’s world of couture. Taking to Instagram, celebrity stylist Tanya Ghavri, who shared a couple of glimpses from the show, posted a video of Ananya Panday on her Instagram story and captioned it with the words: “Hello baby girl welcome to the world of couture @ananyapanday for @rahulmishra_7 at Paris couture week!!!”

Rahul Mishra’s Couture Spring 24 collection, Superheroes, draws attention to the nuances of sharing life with species of reptiles and insects that share the environment with us. With more species being imperilled by the day, Rahul Mishra contemplates the general human conditioning of mind as we find ourselves averted, distressed and even scared at the slightest confrontation with the presence of these benign species within human spaces.

By focussing on the stories and visuals of these “superheroes” coming to life through handcrafted couture sculptures, the collection serves as a reminder to track our paths and familiarise our minds with some friends from nature who for millions of centuries, have played a crucial role as architects and saviours of life as we know it today.
