In the first season of The Great Indian Kapil Show, Kapil Sharma and his gang surprised everyone by bringing Ed Sheeran on the show. The international singer was performing in Mumbai in March and in between his busy schedule, he managed to make an appearance on the Netflix show. With Coldplay coming to town in January 2024, for a three-day concert, will they also appear on the show? Well, we asked Archana Puran Singh about it and she told News18 Showsha exclusively that the team would be excited to host them if it happens.
“Oh, I would love it if Coldplay would come on the show. It would be iconic. I am sure there will always be surprises that we will bring on our show. The Netflix team and our creative team is constantly working on what can be the next big thing that we can present on the show,” Archana told us.
Kiku Sharda, who was also seated in the interview, added that they can dream big thanks to the support of the OTT platform. “If Netflix is with us, we can achieve anything,” he said.
Coldplay announced their India tour earlier this month. They initially announced only two shows. However, after the tickets went up on sale on Sunday, September 22, and were sold out in the matter of minutes, Coldplay announced their third concert. “Due to phenomenal demand, a third Mumbai date has been added at DY Patil Stadium for 21 January, 2025,” they shared on X on Sunday afternoon. The tickets for the third concert also were sold out.
Meanwhile, as for The Great Indian Kapil Show, the comedy series returned with their second season last week. Alia Bhatt, Karan Johar, Vedang Raina and director Vasan Bala. This week, Kapil Sharma will host Jr NTR, Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor as they promote their film, Devara: Part 1.
