The Union Bank of India (UBI) has started accepting online applications from qualified applicants to hire apprentices as per the Apprentices Act of 1961. Until September 17, eligible applicants may apply for the positions via the official website, unionbankofindia.co.in. This year, as part of this recruitment campaign, 500 apprentice positions are available through Union Bank of India. This recruitment is spread throughout several states and union territories, candidates from diverse geographic areas can apply.
UBI Apprentice 2024: Eligibility Criteria
Educational Requirement
Candidates are required to have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or institution. The candidate must not only have a degree but also be proficient in the regional (local) language in all domains (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding). The candidates who are chosen will need to present their documents from grades 10 and 12 or their certificate attesting to their study of the designated local language.
Age Limit
The minimum age to apply for the apprentice post is 20 years, whereas the maximum age limit is 28 years as of August 1, 2024. While the government provides age relaxation for reserved categories under regulations. Applications are required to check the age relaxation from the official website.

Step 1. Visit unionbankofindia.co.in, the official website.
Step 2. From the homepage go to the ‘Apprentices Act of 196 Recruitment Engagement of Apprentices’ link.
Select 3. Select the tabs for the application form.
Step 4. Now log in by entering your valid email ID, register and continue with the application process.
Step 5. Complete the form, and pay the necessary charges.
Step 6. Print the application form for future records.
UBI Apprentice 2024: Application Fee
All the candidates are required to pay the registration fee with the GST charges. Candidates from the General/OBC category have to pay General Rs 944, while Females/ SC/ ST need to pay Rs 696 and PwB category needs to pay Rs 472.
UBI Apprentice 2024: Selection Procedure
Candidates will be chosen based on their performance on the online exam, which will be followed by a medical exam and document verification. There are four sections in the online exam, and each portion has one hundred questions worth 25 marks. Subjects like General/Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative and Reasoning Ability, and Computer Knowledge will be there in the online exam. The examination would take place for sixty minutes.
The training programme will last for 1 year. The trainee will receive on-the-job training covering a variety of banking procedures, goods, and practices. During their one-year commitment, apprentices are eligible for a stipend of Rs 15,000 per month. There are no additional advantages or allowances available to the apprentices.
