Kota District Magistrate Launches 'Dinner with Collector' Program To Aid Coaching Students
Under the Dinner with Collector programme, the Kota District Magistrate has dinner with the students in a hostel every Friday to listen to their minds and hearts.

Kota District Magistrate Dr Ravinder Goswami has launched a weekly ‘Dinner with Collector’ program under the ‘Kamyab Kota’ campaign to ease the stress of coaching students in the city. On Friday, February 16, Ravinder Goswami interacted with students of a hostel located in Kunhadi.

According to reports, during the interaction, the students said that sometimes they do not feel confident and there is always doubt about their preparation. To this, Ravinder Goswami said that it is normal to have doubts about the preparations, but there is no need to panic. It is quite normal to feel like this.

Later, the students also asked why he decided to become an IAS after doing his MBBS. Replying to this, Ravinder Goswami said that the purpose of the program lies in this question. Graduation is a stage in life; it is not a destination. There is always scope for something better in life. Before sleeping at night, one should remember how he spent his entire day as it reflects on the work and studies done during the day. If one ever feels that they have wasted too much time on something today, then they should try not to repeat that mistake the next day. By doing this, nervousness during the exam period can be removed.

Next, when he was asked about remembering studies, Dr. Ravinder Goswami replied that one should study and write simultaneously. Make smart strategies through various tricks to remember the studies by making diagrams. It is normal to make silly mistakes in exams, which everyone does. But some people do more and some people do less. The best way to avoid this is to practice as much as possible. Silly mistakes can be avoided by doing revisions and not repeating old mistakes. Every student has his capability, but do give tests on the topic that one finds difficult. With this, one can learn from their mistakes.

He also said that one should avoid the stress of getting good marks and selection. Peer pressure is normal, but every student has his capabilities and strengths. Therefore, comparisons should be avoided.

He concluded with the point that one should have faith in hard work and achievement because hard work never goes to waste. The collector shared his experiences of student life with the students, which the students listened to by clapping. However, the students appreciated the dinner program with the District Collector. On this occasion, Assistant Director of the Public Servant Department, Gajendra Singh, also addressed the students.
