Indian Army Announces 15 Vacancies For Short Service Commissioned Officer

After NDA and CDS, the Indian Army announced another recruitment drive this year. The Army has released an announcement for the recruitment of Veterinary Graduates for the posts of Short Service Commissioned Officer. There are 12 vacancies for males and 3 for females. The application deadline for this recruitment is June 3 by 5 pm. After that, no applications will be accepted. Age Limit

For Short Service Commissioned Officer recruitment, the age of the candidates should be between 21 and 35 years. The age will be calculated from 20th May 2024. Also, candidates must be Indian citizens.

Educational Qualification

For the recruitment of Veterinary Graduate SSB in the Indian Army, candidates must have a BVSc or BVSc (Hons) degree from a recognized institute. Candidates must have passed the Aptitude Test with Internship at the time of applying.

Selection Process

The selection of candidates for this recruitment will be done in three stages. First, an initial screening will be done. The shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview with the SSB. After the interview, a medical test will be done. After the final selection, IMS training will be done.

The application for this recruitment has to be done in offline mode. The application has to be written on plain paper in the prescribed format. The envelope should read Application for Short Service Commission in RVC.

Training and Conditions of Service

1) After final selection, the candidate will be given a short term of service in the Army in the rank of Captain.

2) Thereafter, he will be sent to RVC Centre and College, Meerut Cantonment for training.

Salary and Allowances

After being commissioned into the Army Veterinary Corps in the rank of Captain, the officer will be entitled to basic pay of Rs 61,300 in the pay matrix of Step 10(b), military pay of Rs 15,500 per month, non-practical duty allowance of 20% of the basic pay and leave of absence allowance and other allowances from time to time. In addition, there is reduced-price accommodation, free meals or meal allowance, free medical care for self and family, long-term care, 60 days annual leave, 20 days special leave, canteen facilities and insurance coverage.
