The India Post has released the recruitment notification for the posts of Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS). As many as 44,228 vacancies will be filled through the recruitment drive. The GDS application process has commenced on the official website of India Post at indiapostgdsonline.gov.in. Candidates will have to log in using their email ID and phone number to register for the recruitment drive. The application fee is Rs 100. The application correction window will remain open from August 6 to 8.

The GDS posts include Branch Postmaster (BPM), Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM), and Dak Sevaks. As per the official notice, the job profile of branch postmaster includes postal operations of the Branch Post Office and India Post Payments Bank (IPPB), marketing and promotions of products and services being provided by the department, and operating various services in the customer services’ centres (CSC) of the Department, etc.

Candidates who have cleared class 10 with compulsory mathematics and English can apply for the posts.
