The Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAI) is likely to roll out the CA Final and Intermediate results for the May 2024 session soon. As per ICAI central council member (CCM) Dhiraj Khandelwal, the ICAI CA Intermediate and Final Result 2024 is scheduled to be out on July 5, and the meeting will be held on July 2 and July 3. The results will be made available on the official website of the Institute of Chartered Accountants at icai.org.

Sharing the update online, ICAI central council member (CCM) Dhiraj Khandelwaltook to the social media platform X and wrote, “CA Inter and Final Result may come in July 1st week itself. We have council meetings on 2nd and 3rd July so possibly 5th July May be the date for the result. For more precise date, please wait for the ICAI notification.”

The ICAI CA Intermediate and Final Result will include details like the course or exam name, examination session/year, roll number of the candidate, course group name, paper and their scores, result status (pass or fail), and total marks.

Meanwhile, the CA Final May 2024 exam for Group 1 was held by the institute on May 2, May 4, and May 6, and May 8, May 10, and May 12, for Group 2. However, the CA Inter examinations for groups 1 and 2 were held from May 3 to 13.

The decision to change the exam dates was taken to prevent overlapping with general elections, which was not well accepted by the candidates. Despite student protests, the exam was conducted on the specified date.

Talking about the exam pattern, the institute followed the current assessment pattern, with the objective-type questions in each exam weighing 30 per cent, while the remaining questions accounted for 70 per cent of the paper. The multiple-choice question carried one or two points, and it is worth noting that there is going to be no negative grading for incorrect responses.

Coming to the passing criterion, applicants must have qualified in both groups concurrently. Those who achieve a minimum of 40 per cent in each exam in one sitting, as well as a minimum of 50 percent in the aggregate of all papers in each group, will be declared passed.

Stay ahead with all the exam results updates on News18 Website.
