The Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) will commence the online application process for over 5,000 Constable vacancies today, September 10. Interested and eligible candidates can apply on the official HSSC website – hssc.gov.in, till September 24, 2024. Only those candidates who have passed the Common Eligibility Test (CET) for group C posts and meet other eligibility conditions can apply for HSSC Constable Recruitment 2024.
HSSC Constable Recruitment 2024: Vacancy details
HSSC is conducting a recruitment drive to fill 5,600 vacancies in three posts –
Category 1 (Male Constable, General Duty): 4,000 vacancies
Category 2 (Female Constable, General Duty): 600 vacancies
Category 3 (Male Constable, India Reserve Battalions): 1,000 vacancies.
HSSC Constable Recruitment 2024: Eligibility criteria
Educational Qualification: Candidates who wish to apply for the HSSC Constable posts must have passed Class 12 (10+2) from a recognised board or institution. Studying Hindi or Sanskrit as one of the subjects in Class 10 is a must.
Age limit: Candidates applying for the Haryana constable vacancies must be between the age of 18 years to 25 years as on September 1, 2024. Reserved category candidates will be given age relaxation as per government rules.
HSSC Constable Recruitment 2024: Steps To Apply
Step 1: Visit the official website – hssc.gov.in
Step 2: On the homepage click on the link that reads “Apply Online”
Step 3: In the newly opened tab click on the registration link for HSSC Constable recruitment
Step 4: Enter your details like name, mobile number etc and complete the registration process
Step 5: Now login with the system-generated registration number and fill out the application form
Step 6: Pay the application fee if applicable and submit the application form
Step 7: Download the application form and save it for future reference
HSSC Constable Recruitment 2024: Selection process
Candidates will be selected through a Physical Measurement Test (PMT), Physical Screening Test (PST) and Knowledge Test. For PMT and PST, the commission will invite an adequate number of candidates based on their merit in the group C CET. After that, candidates equal to four times the number of vacancies (around 22,400) will be invited for the knowledge test.
The Knowledge test will carry 94.5 per cent of the total weightage and will comprise objective-type, multiple-choice questions. General category candidates must score at least 50 per cent marks and reserved category candidates need to score 40 per cent to be considered for selection.
