Most people in today’s world get charmed by the world of glamour and fame, but there is one such individual who has intentionally taken an exit from the same. In a significant incident, a model from Dehradun quit modelling to become a government official and serve society.
Taskeen Khan, the former Miss Dehradun and Miss Uttarakhand has garnered major attention from people after she quit her star-studding modelling career for a government job. Following her exit from modelling, Taskeen Khan appeared for the civil services examination and became an Indian Revenue Officer (IRS).
Taskeen Khan initially began her modelling career at a young age while studying in school. Although Taskeen was a bright student, her interest in the fashion world attracted her to modelling. Apart from being a keen student and talented model, Taskeen was also good at extracurricular activities. She was not only a basketball champion but also a national-level debater.
Following the competition of her schooling, Taskeen enrolled at NIT but unfortunately was unable to join the university due to the financial crisis. During 2016-17, Taskeen won both Miss Dehradun and Miss Uttarakhand titles. She then further aspired to become Miss India but eventually chose a new path after her father’s retirement.
Dropping the idea of embarking on the journey of modelling, she began to prepare for the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examination. A B.Sc. graduate from Jamia Milia Islamia, Taskeen shifted to Delhi in 2020 and worked hard for the examination. After failing thrice in the Preliminary examination, Taskeen qualified for the UPSC with an All-India Rank of 736. She is currently serving as an IRS officer.
Apart from being an officer, IRS Khan is also a social media influencer with over 26,000 followers on Instagram. She frequently shares about her challenging life journey up until she achieved the position. Besides, Taskeen is also seen to share lifestyle content that makes her relatable to the public as well.
