In today’s world, everyone wants to be successful in their lives. Success is achieved through a combination of hard work, perseverance, determination, and a never-give-up attitude. Almost everyone faces difficult times in their lives, but those who can withstand the harsh times can achieve the greatest success. A similar success story has been making the rounds on the internet, where a woman named Vandana Kashyap has become a Uttar Pradesh Police Sub-inspector (SI) after getting inspired by her brother.

Vandana Kashyap was born in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, and lived with her family in the city. She has two elder brothers, and her father used to work as an employee at MTNL. She studied at the Government Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya in Mayur Vihar – 2, Delhi, until the 12th grade. She was always a bright student, and after completing her school education, she did her graduation from IGNOU.

Vandana revealed that she first had the thought of becoming a police officer when she saw her elder brother getting selected for the CRPF. She added that whenever he used to come back home from his duty, she used to wear his uniform, look in the mirror, and act like an officer. It was then that she decided to become an officer as well. Initially, her parents were against it, as her mother always wanted her to become a teacher and her father wanted her to work for a bank.

In 2021, she decided to take the UP Police Constable Examination. On her first attempt, cleared the written exam but failed the physical examination by nine seconds. After that, she decided to take the sub-inspector exam. It was then that she decided to focus on her physical training. Finally, she was able to clear both her written and physical exams, but another challenge awaited her.

During all these years, her father’s health started deteriorating, and he was diagnosed with cancer. Sadly, he passed away in December 2022. In just a few months, she had to start with her physical training. After training for a year at the Moradabad centre, she finally became a UP Police sub-inspector. Currently, she is posted in the Jhansi district of UP.
