Bihar Teacher Recruitment Exam Results On Hold Amid Reservation Roster Delays

The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) conducted the third phase of the Teacher Recruitment examination between July 19 and July 22. Candidates who appeared for the examination will have to wait for a few more days for the results due to delays caused by the 50 per cent reservation roster. The Education Department has requested roster clearance from the districts. Once the clearance is received from the districts. The department will forward it to the General Administration Department, which will then send it to the Bihar Public Service Commission.

The Bihar government had previously increased the reservation limit to 65 per cent for BC, EBC and SC-ST categories. The decision was overturned by the Supreme Court. Due to this, the results for the third phase of the Teacher Recruitment Examination will now be based on the earlier reservation rules. Around 87,774 vacancies will be filled through this recruitment drive. The candidates are eagerly waiting for the results.

The answer keys for classes one to eight in the third phase of the Teacher Recruitment Examination have already been prepared. As per media reports, the preparation of the answer keys for the Teacher Recruitment drive for classes 10th, 11th and 12th will require an additional three days. Once all the answer keys are ready, the commission plans to release the answer keys and response sheets together on August 25. The commission mentioned that they are planning to announce the results of the recruitment drive by September 8.

The Patna High Court overturned the Bihar government’s decision to increase the reservation limit from 50 per cent to 65 per cent on June 20. The state government later decided to appeal the decision to the top court. But the Supreme Court also dismissed the appeal. It should be noted that any person from any part of the country can apply for Bihar Government jobs as the government decided to scrap the mandatory domicile requirement, last year.
