Assam Teacher Recruitment 2023: Registration Deadline Extended To February 13, How to Apply

The Director of Elementary Education (DEE), Assam, has issued an official notification informing about the extension of the registration deadline for Assam Teacher Recruitment 2023. Interested candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can now submit the application form by February 14, 2024. Earlier, the deadline to submit the application form was February 2, 2024.

“The last date for submission of online applications for the post of Assistant Teachers in Lower Primary Schools is hereby extended till 10:00 PM of 13/02/2024. However, after 10:00 PM of 02/02/2024, the portal will get closed temporarily to make the required modifications to allow the candidates to apply with the modified qualification criteria and it will reopen from 03/02/2024 to 13/02/2024,” the official notice read.

Assam Teacher Recruitment 2023: Vacancy Details

Under this recruitment drive, the DEE Assam aims to fill a total of 5,500 positions within the organisation. The breakdown of vacancies according to posts is as follows: There are 3,800 posts for Assistant Teachers in Lower Primary Schools and 1,750 vacant posts for Assistant Teachers, Hindi Teachers, and Science Teachers in UP Schools.

Assam Teacher Recruitment 2023: Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification: To be eligible for the aforementioned posts, candidates should have completed the Assam TET or CTET. Those who have passed the ATET or CTET for Lower Primary and Upper Primary are eligible to apply.

Age Limit: Candidates must be at least 18 years old to apply for the mentioned posts. However, the maximum age should not exceed 40 years for the UR category, 42 years for ex-servicemen, 43 years for OBC/ MOBC, 45 years for SC/ ST(P)/ST(H), and 50 years for PwBD as of January 1, 2023.

Assam Teacher Recruitment 2023: Salary

Selected candidates will be appointed in pay band 2 (PB-2) with a salary ranging from Rs 14,000 to Rs 70,000.
