The Kolkata Knight Riders’ ace all-rounder Andre Russell now finds himself amongst an elite list of IPL greats following his performance against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
The pacer picked up the wickets of Cameron Green and Rajat Patidar as KKR looked to shift the momentum in their favour. But Virat Kohli managed to showcase an absolute clinic of a performance as he stuck till the end to score 83 off 59 deliveries.
Russell has come a long way since making his debut for the Delhi Capitals back in 2012. But it was at KKR that he managed to establish himself as a force with both bat and ball.

He now joins the likes of fellow West Indies all-rounders like Dwayne Bravo and Sunil Narine, along with Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel to become the few who have picked up 100 T20 wickets along with scoring 1000 runs
With the bat, he has been able to showcase dominance by hitting the ball out of the park on countless occasions and giving some crucial runs at the final stretch of the innings.
With the ball, he has also been able to contribute. Especially this season where he has picked up four wickets in the two games played. He also takes the onus in the crucial stages of the innings, bowling in the death for the side.
He has been in good touch in all aspects as he made his return to the T20I side. The performances of Dre-Russ is going to play a big role if KKR are to change their fortunes and pick up the title after 10 years.
Sunil Narine Marks 500th T20 Appearance
Another member of the West Indies camp, Sunil Narine also shared a big milestone as he managed to rack up his 500th T20 appearance during the fixture against RCB.
He becomes the fourth player to reach the milestone following the likes of Kieron Pollard who tops the list at 660 appearances. This is followed by Dwayne Bravo (570), and Shoaib Malik (542).
Narine who did not have a great time with the ball, turned the tides with the bat as he smashed a quick 47 off 22 deliveries. He also has picked up a massive tally of 536 wickets as well.
