Hyderabad: The special court dealing with the multi-crore Satyam scam case on Monday adjourned examination and hearing of charges against the accused to July 29.
Examination and hearing of charges against 10 Satyam personnel accused of fudging books of account of the company, including disgraced former chairman B Ramalinga Raju, will commence on July 29.
Except Raju, who is in judicial remand and undergoing treatment for Hepatitis-C at the Nizam Institute of Medical Science (NIMS), all the nine accused, who are out on bail, were present in the court in Hyderabad on Monday.
On the discharge petitions filed by two of the accused, Srisailam and Suryanarayana Raju, the brother of Ramalinga Raju, the XXI Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (Special Court) observed that the petition was not maintainable and unwarranted at this stage.
The magistrate said examination and hearing of charges would be taken up as per the law and scheduled the next hearing for July 29.
