Indore: One of the leading young entrepreneurs of the country, Karanvir Singh, chairman of Visionum Group in Indore, is representing the youth voice at the World Economic Forum summit at Davos, Switzerland.
Singh addressed the forum on 'Private Public Partnership and Its Future in India' on Wednesday. At 26, he is the youngest among four business delegates selected from India for the annual meet.
Kanika Kumar, associate vice-president at Intellecap; Dipika Prasad, co-founder Lakeer and Jaideep Bansal, Leader, Energy Access at Global Himalayan Expedition were the others in the Indian contingent. A total of 50 young achievers – called the Global Shapers - were selected from 156 countries on the basis of their entrepreneurial achievements, ideas and vision.
"The basic idea of involving us at this international forum was to give space to the voice of the youth, which almost form 50% of the world population at present," Karanvir told News18 from Davos. The summit features global leaders and they wished to understand ideas, views and visions of the youth, he said.

"We are also sharing and discussing the insights of the Global Shapers Survey 2017 that questioned over 31,000 youths across the globe. The survey had churned out some key features of economies of various countries," he said, adding that as part idea collection, he had met Chief Ministers Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Chandrababu Naidu and others in India.
"It was an amazing experience meeting global leaders, corporate heads and civil society leaders from world over," said Karanvir.
He said his Visionum Group is committed to promoting entrepreneurship and is a partner in the Smart City project to offer expertise in areas like transportation, energy and education. The group has tied up with four governments on social service projects.
The Ludhiana lad had risen to prominence with the inception of 'tele-rickshaw', an auto on call service in 2013. He is also a mentor at the National Entrepreneur Network and has previously represented India at global platforms like World Trade Organization, United Nation’s Organization for the last three years.
Based on the theme, 'Creating a Shared Future in a Fractured World' this edition of the summit is being attended by over 3,000 global leaders, CEOs and civil society leaders, including 100 plus entrepreneurs, politicians and officials from India.
