New Delhi: In an ironic move, burger chain McDonalds has told its own employees to stay away from fast food. In a post on their employee website the global fast food chain has warned that fast-food is high in sodium and fat and could lead to obesity.
"Fast foods are quick, reasonably priced, and readily available alternatives to home cooking. While convenient and economical for a busy lifestyle, fast foods are typically high in calories, fat, saturated fat, sugar, and salt and may put people at risk for becoming overweight," said a post on the site.
In the past, McDonalds has also come under criticism for its unhealthy menu options.
