New Delhi: All international expansion plans of Jet Airways is on hold. This is a part of Jet's cost rationalisation programme.
The airline industry has had a tough year, Jet CEO Wolfgang Prock-schauer says signs are good for the first half of this year.
“2008 was a really bad year for aviation but we see in the recent interest, held specifically by the lowering of the ATF prices, the losses are coming down.
I would think that by next financial year we should be in the breakeven region. If I say breakeven situation, there can be a small profit also,” says CEO, Jet Airways, Wolfgang Prock-Schauer.
In 2008, hundreds of Jet employees were sacked for cost rationalisation reasons and then taken back after the sacked employees staged nationwide protests.
