It has been confirmed by the brand that the newly launched price range is valid this month only. Might not remain the same from March.

In a move to boost the EV culture, and achieve a good sales number, Ola Electric has slashed the price range on the S1 scooter series by Rs 25,000.

Now, interested customers can purchase S1 X (2kWh) at the starting price of Rs INR 79,999, S1 X (3kWh) at Rs INR 89,999, and S1 X (4kWh) at Rs INR 109,999. When it comes to the top models S1 Air and Pro, both are available with a new price tag of Rs 1.4 lakh and Rs 1.29 lakh. To note, all the prices are ex-showroom.

Reacting about the same, the company’s one official says, “At Ola, we are committed to #EndICEAge by breaking all barriers to EV adoption and making EVs more affordable and accessible. Aligned with our mission to push EV adoption across the country, we are introducing unprecedented prices across our S1 portfolio. On the back of a strong vertically integrated in-house technology and manufacturing capabilities, we have been able to restructure costs and decided to pass on the benefits to customers.”

In addition, a spokesperson said, “Priced equivalently to leading ICE scooters, we are confident that customers will now have no reason to buy an ICE scooter.”

Ola S1 Air

In order to offer a wide range of choices in the lineup, the company launched S1 Air last year. It was released with a 3.0kWh battery pack. The e-scooter was positioned between the Pro and S1 X variants.

The vehicle is claimed to have a decent range of 151 kilometers on a full top-up, offering a top speed of 90km/h. It has been claimed by the brand that the model is capable of doing 0 to 40km/h sprint in just 3.3 seconds.
