Luxury carmaker Automobili Pininfarina is working on a new SUV that might become the world’s most expensive, with a price range between €400,000 and €1 million.
This new model will outshine the Ferrari Purosangue, which costs around €380,000.
Owned by Mahindra, Automobili Pininfarina is famous for its rare and high-performance cars. Their electric Battista supercar, limited to just 150 units, boasts an impressive 1,900 bhp and a top speed over 402 km/h, making it the most powerful Italian supercar ever made.
CEO Paolo Dellacha recently confirmed to Bloomberg that the company is developing this new SUV. He stated it will combine sports car performance with everyday usability. “We aim to enter a segment with higher production numbers while maintaining our exclusivity,” said Dellacha.
According to Hindustan Times, currently, the Battista’s production is limited to 25 units per year. However, the new SUV is expected to increase production while still being a rare luxury item.
While the Battista focuses on electric technology, Dellacha mentioned that future models might explore different technologies and segments. He did not specify the power source for the new SUV but emphasized that performance remains key, whether it’s electric or alternative fuels.
Automobili Pininfarina is set to redefine luxury and performance in the SUV market with this upcoming model.
