Bollywood star Sunil Shetty, popularly known as “Anna,” has joined the electric car trend in India, bringing home the affordable MG Comet EV.
The actor shared his excitement on Instagram alongside a snapshot of his sleek new electric ride, captioning it, “My first EV, ‘The MG COMET’… love it!!” Shetty opted for the classy Starry Black shade, among other color options like Aurora Silver, Candy White, and Apple Green With Starry Black.

The MG Comet EV, launched by MG Motor India earlier this year, stands out with its unique design, featuring just two doors and a futuristic look inspired by quadricycles. Despite its compact appearance, it comfortably accommodates four people inside, boasting twin 10.25-inch screens, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, keyless entry, and other nifty features like a digital key and power windows.
Under the hood, the Comet EV packs a 17.3 kWh battery, taking about 7 hours to fully charge from a regular home socket. Its electric motor delivers 42 bhp of power and 110 Nm of torque, providing a range of approximately 230 km on a single charge. MG Motor India offers this affordable electric four-wheeler starting at just Rs 7.98 lakh, making eco-friendly driving more accessible in the country.
