Honda 2 Wheelers India has unveiled the all-new X-Blade at the 2018 Auto Expo. It is going to be Honda’s 160cc street-naked offering in the premium commuter segment and sports several new touches like a muscular stance, an all-digital instrument cluster and it is also expected to be priced aggressively.
The power output of this motorcycle is going to be about 14 hp and almost 14 Nm of torque and it will come with a 5-speed transmission. As of now, there has been no announcement as to what the price of this motorcycle will be but we expect it to be priced more competitively than the Hornet 160R as the X-Blade misses out on things like a rear disc brake and Honda’s Combi-Brake System (CBS). It does come with several other attractions like an all-LED headlamp cluster, rear LED tail lights and an all-digital instrument cluster which will be giving out important read-outs like the gear position indicator. So, it will be interesting to see how this motorcycle is priced at upon its launch. In the meantime, though, we had a chance to talk to Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar about his first impressions of the X-Blade, his 12-year old Africa Twin and how riders can be safer on roads.
