After their face-off at the Asia Cup earlier this year, India and Pakistan are set to lock horns this time at the biggest stage – the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.
India squared off against their arch-rivals in the Asia Cup Super Four stage. They defeated Pakistan by 228 runs. India then went on to win the tournament in Sri Lanka to secure continental glory. They next played a series at home against Australia that saw them take the visitors down 2-1 in the three ODIs.

India have also started well at the World Cup as they beat the Aussies again by six wickets in their tournament opener. Virat Kohli played a crucial innings in the match as the star batter belted 85 runs. KL Rahul was the top-scorer who finished the game with a six and remained unbeaten on 97. In their next match, they beat Afghanistan to continue their good run.
