UK: Husband-wife duo serve pizza, 'daiquiri' made out of child's placenta to friends
The couple had another baby Nellie in June last year and they did exactly what was planned – a signature pizza made of placenta.

Inspired by English television presenter Coleen Rooney who had pills made of her placenta - new father Tom blended her wife Amanda Maddock's placenta to have it as a drink with friends. He also let his wife and her friends for a quick taste.

Though, Tom became sick afterwards, they joked to have a feast once they will go for another child.

In June 2015, they had another baby Nellie and they did exactly what was planned – a signature pizza made of placenta. Tom, 31, was exploring options looking for recipes but finally ended up dishing the placenta into a pizza and a 'daiquiri' cocktail, reported a UK based tabloid.

Amanda, who is on maternity leave from her job, said, "When my husband blended my first placenta and offered me and my friend Cat, it was like I will if you will."

"It tasted very metallic," she said. "Tom fried the placenta in onion and garlic and put loads of seasoning on so it just tasted like spicy liver and tasty. The he made a strawberry daiquiri by adding some pepper. It was good and tasted like strawberry daiquiri," she added.

Tom said, "When Amanda got pregnant I knew straight away that I wasn’t going to waste it - I wanted to do something with it, I just wasn’t sure what."

He added, "The second time I just thought to make pizza out of the placenta. I cooked it up with some onion and garlic. When I tasted a bit on its own it had a similar taste and texture to liver but as soon as I put the garlic and onion with it, it was good."
