Indore: Afghanistan National Assembly Speaker Abdul Raouf Ibrahimi has suggested that Pakistan merely putting Mumbai attacks mastermind Hafiz Saeed on the terror list was not enough and said the international terrorist "should be eliminated".
He also accused Pakistan of sponsoring terrorism directed against India and Afghanistan and thereby, threatening the peace and prosperity of the entire region.
"Who cares whether it is Hafiz Saeed or anyone else...an enemy is an enemy and a murderer is a murderer... You should take action they (terrorists) should be eliminated and neutralised," Ibrahimi told PTI on sidelines of the South-Asia Speakers' summit.
He was replying to a question on Pakistan putting Saeed and his terrorist organisations on the terror list. Ibrahimi further said he can feel the pain of victims of terrorism as he himself has lost four members of his family to this menace. "It is very painful," he added.
"In case of both India and Afghanistan, cross-border terrorism is originating from Pakistan which is, unfortunately, patronising it also," he said adding that this should be stopped, you don't expect this from neighbours.
"... Unfortunately as a neighbouring country and despite being a Muslim country Pakistan see their interest in the instability of Afghanistan," he added.
He also praised India, saying it has always been friendly with Afghanistan and has extended help of about USD 2 billion to our country.
