A recently installed sewage pipe ruptured during a pressure test, shooting human excrement 33 feet into the air in Nanning, China. A startling dashcam video shows an orange fountain of human excrement shooting up as a result of the pipeline explosion. It rained onto the road with such intensity that it almost cracked a car’s windscreen. Motorcyclists and pedestrians had to pass through the aftermath of the foul-smelling explosion. Fortunately, no one was hurt in the incident.

Another video taken from a different angle captures the height of the fountain’s outburst, which resembles a geyser. Following the explosion, the roads were filled with sewage waste.

According to reports, the experienced engineers supervising the system’s installation performed a regular pressure test when the sewage line burst.

Pressure tests are commonly done in China to ensure the longevity and integrity of freshly installed pipelines, as per reports, but the results of this test were shocking and unexpected.

Reports state that the Nanning Municipal Emergency Management Bureau confirmed that the faeces volcano was triggered by a septic tank line rupture. It did, however, contradict the notion that the sewage pipe ruptured due to an unintentional contact during road construction, reports add. The pipeline exploded during a pressure test done by the engineers.

The video was shared on September 24 and it has collected over 2 lakh views so far. Social media users replied with humour and disdain.

A user said, “I can smell this video.”

Another commented, “Good luck cleaning the City because of your cut-cost infrastructure.”

Meanwhile, one frustrated driver told local reporters – “My car is stained yellow and it smells. I can’t continue using it”.
